Pie Crust Care and Baking Instructions
Thank you for trusting us with a very important part of baking and especially your holiday baking! ❤️ We have tested our gluten-free crust at length and find it to be flaky, tender, and delicious! Following are some helpful guidelines of how to get the best out of your uncooked pie dough.
First of all, if it was shipped to you, it will be unfrozen by the time you receive it. It is safe and you may place it back into the freezer immediately upon receipt. If you plan to use it that day or the next, simply put it in the refrigerator.
Pie Crust Care and Baking Instructions
1. Storage: Because we use high quality, organic when possible, ingredients and no preservatives, we freeze for freshness.
Keep your specialty pie crust frozen and wrapped airtight until ready to use. It comes already vacuum packed in freezer quality food safe film. Adding extra layers by wrapping in grocery store plastic or paper bags will help ensure the protection of its high quality ingredients against the harsh but saving environment of the freezer.
2. Thawing: For best results, move crust to the fridge the day before use. If you're short on time, thaw at room temperature for approximately 30 minutes until pliable.
3. Handling: Keep crust cold to ensure a flaky texture. Thaw just enough to handle it without over-softening.
4. Prepping the Pan: Unwrap the pie pan dough, remove all pieces of parchment paper and wax paper from inside pie. Parbake only as needed.
Unwrap and PLACE second cold round dough disc over your filled pie,
Gently press outer edges together using fork or edge of thumb. Cut slits or fork holes in any desired pattern in top of pie for venting.
OR grease an additional pie pan and using the cardboard circle, gently guide the dough evenly over pie pan. (Making sure that all parchment papers are removed before baking).
5. Shaping: Gently Pinch and poke the dough until it’s ready for filling. Slight pressure and your warm finger will gently mend any cracks that are caused by cold butter.
6. Baking (Unfilled Crust) : Bake at 425° F if baking the crust alone until tender and golden.
(Follow parbake recipe directions if desired)
7. Baking (Filled Crust) : Bake at 350°F if the crust is filled, or follow your pie recipe's temperature instructions.
8. Egg Wash: For a golden, glossy finish, whisk one egg and gently brush it onto the exposed crust. This is highly recommended and essential for a beautiful pie!! For a single-crust pie (e.g., pumpkin or custard), just egg wash the edges.
9. Fruit Pie: No need to pre-bake the crust. (ALTHOUGH, I personally like to prebake for about 10 minutes at 350°F, to prevent soggy bottom crust)…..THEN, Fill with fruit, add top crust, pinch edges, and brush with egg wash on exposed areas. Bake at 350°F for about 40 minutes (check for golden color). Note: check after 30 minutes if your dough was pre-baked for the recommended 10 minutes.
If the edges brown too quickly, cover edges only with foil.
10. Additional Baking: If the pie isn’t fully cooked, but is nicely golden, cover entire pie with foil and bake for an extra 10-15 minutes.

Biscuits/Stoneground Corn Muffins
STORAGE: Keep in Freezer quality Ziploc Bags for freshness, as our products do not contain any preservatives. Product will stay fresh at room temperature if you plan to eat it that day, provided it is in an airtight container/bag.
Microwave 1 to 3 biscuits (straight from the freezer) on a microwavable plate. Lightly Spritz with water. Microwave for 35 seconds. Check for doneness, if necessary add 10 second increments until as desired. Biscuits should be warm through the center.
Warning: the microwave makes baked goods rubbery and tough if overdone, or if left to sit too long after heating. **Microwaves can vary in intensity. Be cautious! Don't get burned!
Conventional Oven *** Best Method for larger quantity: Lightly spritz biscuits with water, cover with foil and reheat at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for approximately 20 to 25 minutes or until warm through center. Serve biscuits plain or with your favorite toppings.
Cinna-Biscuits
Reheat your individual cinnamon roll for about 25 to 30 seconds in the microwave.
**Microwaves can vary in intensity. Be cautious! Don't get burned!
Conventional Oven *** Best Method for larger quantity: Reheat in oven at 350° for 20 to 30 minutes until warm all the way through. Take out of oven and turn upside down onto plate or other dish. The bottom becomes the top! And you have a delectable delicious gooey cinnamon roll that can hardly be differentiated from yeast bread!
Each package or loaf pan of cinna-biscuits come with cinnamon roll glaze, not sugar-free, that may be heated in microwave for 20 seconds or so and drizzled over biscuits if desired.
Cookies
We use all natural quality fresh ingredients and do not add preservatives to our products. KEEP FROZEN until ready to eat.
For Best Results - place cookie packages or cookies into freezer quality baggies. Double bagging can also be helpful if it's going to be longer than a few days.
When ready to enjoy - Separate cookies and place on a flat surface at room temperature approximately 30 minutes. Keep cookies covered for freshness until ready to eat. Some flavors thaw more quickly than others. Eat them at your favorite temperature. BEWARE of hard nuts and chocolate when frozen.
ENJOY!
